How to build a Smuuti routine
Smuuti’s product portfolio already consists of two sets of cleansers, toners, serums and moisturizers, but how does one compile a skincare routine out of these? All of Smuuti’s skincare lines can be mixed and matched together, so a routine can be formed as follows.
Do you need an oil cleanser
The first step of a night-time routine is oil cleansing, but not everyone needs it. The Watermelon Sorbet Balm is a great way to remove makeup and sunscreen as well as cleanse the skin deeply, but gently. In case you don’t wear strong makeup nor waterproof sunscreen, you don’t need to oil cleanse. However, really dry skin types can use an oil cleanser in place of a water-based cleanser.
Which cleanser?
In case your skin is dry, sensitive or you’re young, go for the Peach Cleansing Cream. In case your skin is oily, textured or blemish-prone, go for the Kiwi Clear Gel Cleanser.
In case your skin is normal or combination, or perhaps dry with blemishes, you can choose the cleanser according to the most prominent trait on your skin. Determine if your skin is more dry/sensitive or more oily/textured, and choose accordingly. You can also use a separate cleanser in the morning and evening, and a separate cleanser in the summer and winter.
Which toner?
Both toners are suitable for all skin types. Thus, choose the one that you prefer. The Watermelon Dew Toner Mist is a lighter and fresher toner in a mist, and the Peach Barrier Toner is richer and more nourishing toner in a bottle. You can also choose your toner according to the time of day, year or just the state of your skin.
Which serum?
If you need extra help with dullness, dehydration or fine lines on the skin, you can try the Watermelon Dew Serum. If you need extra help with blemishes, texture or uneven skin tone, you can try the Kiwi Clear Serum. You can also use both serums, the watermelon during the day and during the nights you don’t use the kiwi one.
Which moisturizer?
Smuuti’s moisturizers are in many ways the opposites of each other, so finding the right one is easy for many. The Watermelon Jelly Cream is a gel cream that leaves the skin plump and glowy and has a watermelon scent. The Peach Barrier Cream is classic cream that leaves the skin soft and silky and is fragrance free. Often the Watermelon Jelly Cream works better for oily skin or the day/summer-time. And the Peach Barrier Cream often works better for dry skin or night/winter-time.
Building a skincare routine can feel challenging, but Smuuti wants to make it as easy as possible. Yet, if you’re still in need of recommendations, feel free to reach out to our tea for advise.
